Stopping spam with akismet

The Frick-Web site has been getting a lot of blog comment spam in the last days, but no longer. I integrated an akismet anti spam plugin which was developed originally from Ryan Bates. This plugin uses the akismet web service to check if a comment is spam or not. You can find the plugin here [LINK].

Ryan Bates did a railscasts about this plugin a few years ago. So just check it out, i think it is very useful and really easy to integrate into a rails application. Just follow the railscast and your blog is free of annoying spam attacks from now on.

Hi! That´s exactly what I was looking for! Very cool links and also special thanks to Ryan Bates. Simple and very useful plugin. Thanks for the hint, that the plugin is available on github, the link in the railscasts show notes is not correct any more. J.T

Thanks for the hint with the wrong link to the plugin! Btw I like your website, looks very professional! What kind of theme are you using? Is that available for free?

Thanks Marc for the compliment. The new design is just a few days online, and such a comment, very cool :-)! I don't use a ready-made theme. I just created the theme in collaboration with my designer. I use the 960 grid for layouting. If you need help by your design, don't hesitate and just contact me via email.

Okay, too bad that you are not using a theme which is available for free. I also want the same or at least a similar design on my website. I will try today, if it does not work, I will contact you. Thanks anyway!
